Overall Responsibilities:
 
The Business Analyst (BA) works as part of a consulting team with consultants and senior staff. BA’s are assigned short-term and long-term tasks on a multitude of projects. As they become more familiar with PCG clients and product lines, they take on greater responsibility within the project teams. Existing knowledge or experience with state government, specifically child welfare programs, cost accounting, medical billing, federal revenue, compliance, technical assistance or claiming is preferred. Must be able to work within a team but also work independently.  Must be able to draw sound conclusions based on data analysis and communicate findings effectively, both in person and in writing. 

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Prepare parts of written status reports to clients (in PowerPoint).
  • Present parts of status reports in meetings.
  • Understand complex federal regulations and requirements and analyze and interpret federal and state law and regulation.
  • Conduct policy and other research.
  • Participate on proposal writing teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions.
  • Assess best practices and compliance errors and provide technical assistance to a wide variety of stakeholders and clients.
  • Assist with preparation of other written reports and materials for clients.
  • Assist with preparation of materials for training seminars administered by PCG.
  • Other responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:

Other essential qualifications include:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in the fields of finance, child welfare, medical billing, government, or consulting field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Access, Word, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Other Requirements:

Ability to work overtime and travel to client sites (approximately 50%) required.
