Description:

The Payroll Tax Compliance Supervisor will oversee the organization’s fast-growing multiple state payroll tax and wage reporting services team.  The ideal candidate will have direct experience coordinating and managing in house production of standard 941 type IRS, state and local tax filings, unemployment, wage and new hire reporting requirements, wage garnishments and year-end W2 information return production. 

This position will supervise a team of tax specialists focused on tax reporting while other teams focus on weekly client payroll production activities.  The ideal candidate will also be an in-house subject matter expert, and work closely with launch teams in ensuring all new engagements meet compliance requirements and that in-house technology platforms are configured correctly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor ’s degree.
  • Masters degree, Enrolled Agent (EA), or APA credentials a plus, but not required.
  • 2 years prior supervisory experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in automated in-house payroll operations.
  • Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
