Description:

FM Blake, a division of PCG, is the largest vendor for foster children’s Supplemental Security Income (SSI) advocacy in the country. We work with state and county-based social service agencies to obtain the highest possible disability allowance rates from the Social Security Administration (SSA) in the shortest possible time, with least disruption to the organization.

FM Blake is currently seeking a Claims Assistant (Claims Developer) for our Lewiston, ID office. 

Responsibilities: 

  •  Specializes in entering new claims into our data system and tracking them through the pending process at SSA.
  • Acts as a liaison with both SSA and staff at the County, assisting them with materials/documentation needed or directing them to the proper staff member to take care of a special need.
  • Responsible in assisting SSA, County staff and/or foster parent in making sure claimants are aware and attend Consultative Exams.
  • Follows up on claims at SSA making sure they are processing in a timely manner and checks on status of claims.
  • Once a child is identified as being SSI eligible, develops the case prior to it being written and sent to SSA. 
  • Confirms and updates current information gathered from County files regarding placement, status and funding issues. 
  • Request medical, physiological, school and possible work records and note the sources for SSA. 
  • Responsible for getting SSA Function Report completed by the current care provider. 
  •  Development and submission of all CDR’s and RZ’s are handled in this position. 

Qualifications:

  •  Must have a minimum of two-year training/experience that would provide the following skills.  This would translate to either college/business school classes or on the job experience with:
  • Proper usage of English language including grammar, spelling and vocabulary.
  • Interpret and execute requests from SSA, DDS and county personnel.
  • Be able to establish working relationships with federal, state and county agencies as well as the general public.
  • Maintain an electronic record keeping and follow-up system.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Intermediate computer skill, proficient in Office products.
  • Be able to establish working relationships with federal, state and county agencies as well as the general public.
  • Must recognize and maintain the confidentiality of all materials in the work setting.
