Benefits

Health Coverage

Benefit eligible employees are offered Medical and dental insurance on their first day of employment. PCG offers various health plans depending upon your geographic location including HMO’s and PPO’s.

Quarterly Reimbursement

If you choose to participate in a non-PCG sponsored health plan, PCG offers a quarterly reimbursement of up to $2,800 per calendar year ($700 per quarter) toward the cost of your premiums (proof of coverage and payment required).

Domestic Partner Coverage

PCG provides a domestic partner health benefit for both same and opposite gender partners. The relationship must be established for at least 6 months and requires valid documentation.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The company-paid EAP, provided through ComPsych, offers assistance with a variety of employee concerns, such as stress or anxiety, work and family issues, substance abuse, depression and elder care. This professional counseling and referral program is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to all PCG employees.

Flexible Spending Account

PCG offers reimbursement accounts through Sentinel Benefits to allow employees to pay for qualified parking, public transportation, healthcare and dependent care expenses on a tax-free basis. Employees can sign up for:

  • FSA Healthcare: $2500 max/year
  • FSA Dependent Care: $5000 max/year
  • FSA Parking: $230 max/month
  • FSA Transit: $230 max/month

Basic Life Insurance

PCG provides basic life insurance to all benefit-eligible employees at no cost. Coverage is provided through Prudential at an amount of one times your annual salary rounded to the next higher thousand, up to a maximum of $50,000.

Supplemental Life Insurance

Supplemental Life Insurance allows benefit-eligible employees to increase their life insurance coverage up to $500,000 and purchase affordable coverage for a spouse and/or dependent children and have the premiums payroll deducted.

Short Term Disability

Short-Term Disability (STD) insurance, provided through Prudential, is available to all benefit-eligible employees at no cost. This benefit provides income replacement in the event of a non-occupational illness or injury. Your STD coverage replaces 66.6% (or two thirds) of your basic weekly earnings, to a maximum of $1,500 per week. Waiting periods apply.

Long-Term Disability Insurance (LTD)

LTD insurance, provided through Prudential is available to all benefit-eligible employees. This benefit provides income replacement of 60% of your basic monthly earnings, to a maximum of $7,500 per month. You may elect to allow PCG to cover the full cost of LTD, or you may opt to pay your own premium in order to avoid paying taxes on any benefit payments.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • Full time Exempt (Salaried) employees: Accrue four weeks or 20 days per year (accrual 13.33 hours per month)
  • Full time Non-exempt (Hourly) employees: Accrue three weeks or 15 days per year (accrual 10 hours per month)

Holidays

Ten paid holidays per calendar year

401(k) Retirement Plan

The 401(k) Retirement Plan lets you save money for retirement and reduces your current taxable income through pre-tax contributions. An automatic 3% contribution of your gross annual salary will begin after your first year of employment (provided you have been credited with a minimum of 1,000 hours of service). Enrollment commences on a quarterly basis. The PCG discretionary match program is based on a maximum of 6% of gross salary.

529 College Bound Fund

The 529 College Bound Fund is a tax-advantaged way to save for college and college-related expenses for your children, grandchildren, or even yourself. The 529 plan allows investments to grow tax free.

Clark University MBA Program PCG fully supports this 2-3 year part-time MBA program. This is a lock-step program and upon a current program’s completion and sufficient consulting staff interest, PCG may choose to begin another cohort. Approximately 25 students are accepted into each cohort and only one cohort is supported at a time. Application to the program is subject to Management approval and consulting staff are given priority. A one year post-graduate employment commitment is required.

PCG University

PCG University offers a number of video, on-line and on-site courses focused on general administrative, supervisory and consulting skills development.

AFLAC

AFLAC offers a variety of voluntary employee-pay-all customized policies that cover accidents, cancer, and short-term disability. The policies are designed to pay cash benefits directly to you to help with loss of income, deductibles and co-pays, unexpected medical bills and day-to-day living expenses like mortgages, car payments, childcare, and more. Your premium may be payroll deducted.

Liberty Mutual Insurance Group

As an employee of Public Consulting Group you qualify for a special group discount on your auto, home, and renters’ insurance through Group Savings Plus from Liberty Mutual. This unique program allows you to purchase auto, home and renters’ insurance at low group rates through the convenience of payroll deduction.
