Tallahassee team supports Elder Care Services

Earlier this week, the Tallahassee office celebrated the upcoming holidays and our first PCG Cares event with a morning of service followed by a team lunch. The team, which included PCGers from Human Services and Education, volunteered with Elder Care Services of Tallahassee delivering meals to over 30 seniors in need in the area.

For the past two years, Dr. Brenda Manuel of the Los Angeles Unified School District has joined PCG at a special session on community engagement during the iconic SXSWedu conference in Austin, TX.  As she did last year, Dr. Manuel spoke about the Village Movement Mentoring Program where students are connected with members of the community who can serve as guides and cheerleaders for them, and then are expected to take the lessons they learn and mentor their classmates.

In North Carolina, Students@Work See PCG At Work

PCG was one of 45 companies and organizations across North Carolina participating in late March in Students@Work, a job-shadowing and mentoring effort established by the governor in 2011. Coordinated closely with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, Students@Work has brought more than 128,000 eight-grade students from across the Tarheel State into a broad range of workplaces.

PCGCares: Giving back in 2016

December 2016 marks PCG’s 30th anniversary. To commemorate this important milestone, and to offer some humble thanks to our clients and the communities we serve, PCG embarked on a yearlong “30 for 30” initiative to give back to those in need. Our “30 for 30” campaign was comprised of two core pieces: local community service projects implemented by offices across the firm and six, bi-monthly donations of $30,000 each.
