This highly interactive session introduces academy leaders to A Leadership Model for Improving Adolescent Literacy, a research-grounded model that shows how a systemic focus on literacy can be used as a lever for improving student academic and career success. Participants will examine what literacy looks like in each of the career areas focused on by NAF and the roles and responsibilities of academy leaders in supporting literacy rich teaching and learning to take place including how to help students understand how important it is to develop proficiency as readers, writers and learners.
