Former MGT President to Manage Government Health Strategy & Finance Unit 

Boston, MA, April 21, 2010
– Public Consulting Group (PCG) today announced that Fred S. Forrer has joined the firm as a manager in its PCG Health practice. In this role, Mr. Forrer will help state and local governments navigate the uncharted waters of Health Care Reform, reduce health care costs, and increase federal reimbursements. As states struggle with rising health care costs amid the continuing impact of the Great Recession, Fred’s knowledge and expertise will be invaluable to states seeking to:

  • develop their State Medicaid Health Information Technology Plans;
  • claim Medicaid reimbursement for inpatient medical services provided outside of correctional facilities;
  • integrate primary health care and behavioral health care; and,
  • increase Medicaid reimbursements for public Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers.

Mr. Forrer most recently served as President of Reassure Technologies International in Ponte Vedra, Florida, where he was recruited to oversee development of a 35-person start-up firm to audit paid medical claims in order to identify and recover overpayments. Prior to that position, Forrer was President and Chief Executive Officer of MGT of America, where he managed a national public sector consulting practice focused on state and local government operations, including criminal justice and public safety, higher education, and pre-K through grade 12 public education.
