The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently announced the awarding of a total of just over $9 million in matching funds to be used by four states for their Medicaid programs to subsidize provider purchases and the use of electronic health-record systems under the stimulus law (the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009).  The states and amounts are: New Jersey, $4.93; Louisiana, $1.85; Maryland, $1.37; and Minnesota, $1.04 million.
