Public Consulting Group (PCG) is proud to announce its five-year recertification as a Quality Improvement Organization-like (QIO-like) entity by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). A QIO-like entity consists of health quality experts, clinicians, and consumers who work together to improve the quality of care delivered to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.

This selective designation confirms PCG as a trusted state agency partner. We help safeguard agencies against provision disputes and unnecessary utilization of services or care. Our team of experts also conducts medical necessity and care-quality reviews.

With this certification, PCG’s clients are eligible for enhanced federal matching funds of up to 75 percent for contracted services consistent with quality improvement organization (QIO) legislation. This cost-effective matching enables PCG to better support state government partners with optimizing expenses and improving care services. There are opportunities in both the health and human services sectors on a national level.

The federal QIO program is an important resource in CMS’ effort to improve quality and efficiency of care for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. It has been instrumental in advancing provider programs that produce cost-effective, measured, increased-quality outcomes. PCG’s extensive knowledge base in this area makes the firm an advantageous choice for state agencies seeking program integrity solutions to make lives better for every member of their community.
