  •  PCG Education's leadership services are based on the research-grounded Leadership Model for Improving Adolescent Literacy (Irvin, Meltzer and Dukes, ASCD, 2006).

Schools receive a detailed analysis and specific recommendations for improvement. PCG Education's action planning tools and approaches help school leaders quickly put into place updated and effective practices and monitor progress toward goals. PCG Education is recognized as a PD Affiliate by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills.

Cheryl Liebling, Ph.D.

Cheryl Liebling is Director of Literacy Services. She serves on PCG's Education Content Consulting management team, supervises literacy staff members, and leads initiatives including K-12 district literacy program reviews and action planning, implementation of the Common Core State Standards, and consultation on literacy curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

Julie Meltzer, Ph.D.

Julie Meltzer is Senior Advisor for Strategy, Research and Design at PCG Education. As Director of the Adolescent Literacy Project at the LAB at Brown University, Dr. Meltzer developed the Adolescent Literacy Support Framework, and authored Adolescent Literacy Resources: Linking Research and Practice (2002) and other research-based professional development and technical assistance resources.

Melvina Phillips, Ed.D

 

Melvina gained expertise in adolescent literacy while working as instructional leader at Discovery Middle School of Madison, Alabama. Together with staff members, she designed a literacy initiative from the latest research and from best literacy practices in the field. While working with the National Association of Secondary School Principals, she provided workshops and other literacy leadership opportunities to support school leaders across the nation.
