PCG Education's Literacy & Learning Audit (grades 5-12) integrates your school's data and compares your instructional practices with research-based best practices. You receive a detailed, customized analysis of current school and teacher capacity for literacy and learning instruction as well as specific, actionable recommendations for improvement.
PCG Education’s practical and interactive Teacher Professional Development provides teachers with research-based tools and high impact strategies focused on improving literacy and learning for all students, including English language learners, in content areas such as math, science, social studies, and English language arts. Topics include training for teacher mentors and instructional coaches; integration of 21st century skills into today’s classroom; differentiation strategies; and strategies for motivating and engaging students.
PCG Education offer RtI consulting services that provide a systematic analysis of district and school readiness and capacity to implement the RtI multi-tiered approach to reading intervention. Combined with our RtI EdPlan™ software we give you the tools and understanding to make your RtI initiative effective and efficient.
Thinkquiry 1 emphasizes more than basic reading and writing by preparing students for higher level thinking and learning about content. Thinkquiry 1 has undergone extensive field-testing. Cheryl Liebling is Director of Literacy Services. She serves on PCG's Education Content Consulting management team, supervises literacy staff members, and leads initiatives including K-12 district literacy program reviews and action planning, implementation of the Common Core State Standards, and consultation on literacy curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

Julie Meltzer is Senior Advisor for Strategy, Research and Design at PCG Education. As Director of the Adolescent Literacy Project at the LAB at Brown University, Dr. Meltzer developed the Adolescent Literacy Support Framework, and authored Adolescent Literacy Resources: Linking Research and Practice (2002) and other research-based professional development and technical assistance resources.
A senior associate with PCG Education, Dr. Lefsky works jointly with the firm's northeast and southeast offices on EdPlan™ student success planning projects. He also works with the NJ SMART growth model project. He has more than 17 years of experience working and teaching in the education field at both the K-12 and college levels.
Melvina gained expertise in adolescent literacy while working as instructional leader at Discovery Middle School of Madison, Alabama. Together with staff members, she designed a literacy initiative from the latest research and from best literacy practices in the field. While working with the National Association of Secondary School Principals, she provided workshops and other literacy leadership opportunities to support school leaders across the nation.
